Wind Power Sale in Bangalore - Group Captive Scheme
Any
energy consumer (Industrial / Commercial) can source electricity from
captive power plant, under Group Captive Scheme, as specified in The
Electricity Rules, 2005, published by Ministry of Power and approved by BESCOM under Group Captive Scheme. Consumer is required to hold minimum 26%
equity in the Wind project and should consume minimum 51% of power
generated from the Wind Power.
The landed cost of Wind Power is lower than cost of BESCOM. Electricity is wheeled to consumption point through existing BESCOM grid network. No infrastructure change is required in existing set up !!!!
